Kwa Nini Niliacha Uislamu na Kumpokea Yesu?




Mutee'a Al-Fadi alikuwa ni Mwislamu mwenye msimamo mkali wa Wahabbi ambao alisomea kule Saudi Arabia. Lakini baada ya kukutana na upendo wa Yesu, moyo wake uligeuka kabisa na akaanza kuitafuta kweli iliko. Hatimaye alitambua kuwa Yesu ndiye Njia, Kweli na Uzima. Ufuatao ndio ushuhuda wake:

Mimi nilikuwa Muislamu wa Wahabbi ambaye nilizaliwa na kulelewa kama Mwislamu nchini Saudi Arabia. Katika maisha yangu yote nilikuwa mfuasi mwaminifu wa Kiislamu ambaye nilifuata na kuishi mafundisho ya Uislamu katika kila eneo la maisha yangu. Mafundisho haya yalikuwa ni pamoja na imani:

  • kwamba Uislamu ndio dini ya mwisho duniani; 
  • kwamba ndiyo dini pekee inayokubalika kwa Mungu; 
  • kwamba ndiyo njia ya kwenda Mbinguni; 
  • kwamba wale wasioukubali Uislamu wanakwenda jehanamu na kwamba matendo na ibada zao hazitawaokoa hadi watakapomkubali Allah kama Mungu wao na Muhammad kama mtume wake; 
  •  kwamba wokovu kwa Mwislamu ni kwa njia ya matendo mema na hauna uhakika isipokuwa kwa wale walio tayari kufa kwa jina la Allah; 
  • kwamba Waislamu ni watu bora kuliko wengine; 
  • kwamba watu wote wasio Waislamu ni makafiri, ikiwa ni pamoja na Wakristo; 
  • kwamba Kristo alikuwa ni mwanadamu tu na nabii aliyetumwa na Allah; 
  • kwamba yeye si Mungu au Mwana wa Mungu; 
  • kwamba hakuwahi kusulubiwa, kufa msalabani au kufufuka kutoka kwa wafu; 
  • kwamba Yesu alipaishwa Mbinguni ili kuokolewa dhidi ya waliotaka kumuua na 
  • kwamba Yesu atakuja tena siku za mwisho ili kuujenga upya Uislamu kama dini ya kweli ya Allah, kuharibu msalaba, kumuua mpinga-Kristo, na kuwafanya Wakristo wawe Waislamu.

Lakini jambo lenye nguvu zaidi ambalo nilijifunza katika makuzi yangu ni kuwa na CHUKI dhidi ya wale wote wasiomwabudu Allah; wasiomfuata Muhammad; wasioamini Uislamu – ikiwa ni pamoja na Wakristo na Wayahudi. Kwa lugha rahisi ni kwamba, nilikuwa adui wa Kristo.

Katika umri wa miaka 12, nilikuwa nimeshakariri nusu ya Qur’an. Lengo langu lilikuwa kukariri kitabu chote; maana huwa tunafundishwa kwamba kukariri Qur’an kunasaidia kufunika baadhi ya dhambi zako na kuboresha matendo yako mema Siku ya Hukumu; pia kunakupandisha daraja mbinguni.

Mapema mwaka 1980, nilikuwa niko tayari kufa kwa ajili ya jina la Mungu pamoja na kundi kubwa la vijana waliokuwa wanakwenda Afughanistani kupigana na Umoja wa Kisovieti tukiwa upande wa Osama Bin Laden (ambaye kwao alikuwa ni mtu wa kuigwa). Kama asingekuwa mama yangu kunisihi nisiondoke, ningeenda, maana niliamini kuwa thawabu za wale Waislamu wanaokufa kwa jina la Allah ni bora zaidi ya zile za Waislamu wasiokuwa tayari kupigana na kufa kwa ajili ya Allah – kama watafika mbinguni – lakini wale wanaokufa kwa ajili ya Allah wamehakikishiwa kuingia mbinguni na kusamehewa dhambi zao.

Lakini kadiri nilivyoendelea kukua, nilianza kutafakari na kuelewa lugha ya Qur’an zaidi. Na ndani yake niliona ujumbe wa chuki dhidi ya wasioamini, jambo ambalo sikujisikia amani nalo na sikulipenda kamwe; na wala sikuweza kulielewa au kulihalalisha. Sikuweza kuelewa kwa nini Mungu awe na chuki kiasi hicho dhidi ya viumbe wake mwenyewe kwa kuwa tu hawamkubali. Niliamini kuwa huruma na upendo wa Mungu vinatakiwa kuwa vikubwa zaidi ya hapo. Lakini kuzungumza na wengine kuhusu mawazo na mashaka yangu juu ya imani yangu kungenisababishia matatizo makubwa sana na kuhatarisha usalama wangu (maana adhabu ya mashaka na kufuru dhidi ya Allah na kuuacha Uislamu ni Kifo).

Baada ya kuhitimu chuo kule Saudi Arabia nilitamani kwenda kusoma nchi za magharibi. Lakini hili lilisababisha upinzani ndani yangu. Upinzani huo ni kwamba, Uislamu unafundisha wafuasi wake wasiwe na marafiki Wakristo au Wayahudi. Na ulimwengu wa Kiislamu unaamini kabisa kwamba nchi zote za magharibi ni Wakristo na Wayahudi.

Mwishoni mwa miaka ya 80, nilifika kwenye moja ya nchi za magharibi. Nilikuwa nimejawa na hofu sana na kukosa amani kwa kuwa sasa nilikuwa naenda kuwa karibu na Wakristo, hivyo ningeweza kupoteza matendo yangu mema (kama inavyosema Qur’an kwenye Sura 5:51 na 5:57). Lakini pamoja na hayo, nilikuwa natambua kwamba, ili kupata elimu bora kabisa, ni lazima niende kwenye nchi ya magharibi nikasome kwenye moja ya vyuo vyao vikuu.

Baada ya kukaa kwenye bweni kwa takribani mwezi mmoja, nilianza kujisikia haja ya kuufahamu utamaduni na maisha ya nchi ile. Pia, ingawaje nilikuwa nikidhani kuwa naweza kuongea Kiingereza vizuri, nilikuta kwamba Kiingereza cha kuzungumza cha magharibi ni kigumu zaidi kuelewa kuliko nilivyofikiri kutokana na matumizi ya nahau na misemo mbalimbali – jambo ambalo sikuwa nimedhania lingekuwa tatizo kwangu. Lakini kumbe huu ulikuwa ni mpango wa Mungu wa kunivuta   kwake kupitia matukio yafuatayo:

Katika kipindi hicho nilisikia juu ya mpango wa kuwasaidia wanafunzi kutoka nje kujifunza zaidi juu ya utamaduni na namna ya maisha ya magharibi na pia kuepuka kikwazo cha lugha.

Sikujua kwamba shirika lililohusika na mpango huu lilikuwa la Kikristo, maana  kama ningejua, KAMWE nisingeenda kwao. Kwa hiyo, nilijiandikisha – uamuzi ambao ulikuja kutikisa kabisa msingi wa maisha yangu na kubadili kabisa mwelekeo wake.

Karibu wiki mbili baada ya kujiandikisha, familia moja ya mtu na mkewe iliwasiliana nami na kunieleza kuwa walikuwa wameteuliwa kuwa karibu nami na kunisaidia kwa mahitaji ya msingi. Na kwa miezi saba iliyofuata, familia hii ILINIPENDA kwa namna ambayo sikutarajia kabisa – upendo ambao sikuwahi kuuona kamwe; hata kutoka kwa Waislamu wenzangu. Kulikuwa na hali ya amani iliyowazunguka ambayo iliwafanya wawe tofauti na watu wengine waliowazunguka, kiasi kwamba nilidhani kuwa hawa si Wakristo – maana kama kila mtu aliyenizunguka alikuwa Mkristo, kwa nini hawa wako tofauti?

Baadaye mwaka ule, familia hii ilinialika kwenye nyumba yao katika chakula cha jioni wakati wa sherehe za kutoa shukurani. Ni hapo ndipo nilipotambua kuwa wao nao ni Wakristo, maana waliuliza kama wanaweza kuomba, nami nikasikia maombi yao.

Ni lazima nikiri kwamba moyo wangu ulishuka sana wakati ule. Sikuwahi kujua kwamba Wakristo wana upendo mkubwa kiasi kile badala ya chuki kama ambavyo nilikuwa nikifundishwa kwenye imani yangu. Achilia mbali kwamba familia hii hata siku moja haikuwahi kunihubiria Injili; badala yake walinionyesha Kristo kupitia matendo yao na maisha yao (ulikuwa ni ushuhuda wa kimyakimya). 

Siku hiyo, niliondoka kwenye nyumba yao huku nikiwa na mashaka mengi juu ya imani yangu na mafundisho yangu. Niliamua kuwa lazima nitafanya utafiti juu ya Ukristo ili nijue zaidi habari za huyu Yesu ambaye anaweza kuwafanya watu wawe na amani na furaha kubwa kiasi hiki – jambo ambalo kamwe sikuwahi kuliona au kulipata kabla – yule ambaye alikuwa chanzo cha nuru iliyokuwa inang’aa kutoka kwao.

Miaka kadhaa baadaye (karibu miaka 6), na baada ya kuhitimu chuo, nilijiunga na kampuni fulani. Humo nilikutana na Mkristo mwingine, ambaye kwa kweli alionyesha namna Mkristo anayeishi maisha ya Kikristo alivyo! Nilivutiwa sana na imani yake, mwenendo wake, furaha yake, amani yake, na nuru iliyong’aa kutokea kwake. Hakika alikuwa tofauti na kila mtu aliyemzunguka. Na aliponikaribisha kwenye chakula cha Krismasi nyumbani kwake, niligundua kuwa mke wake na watoto wake nao walikuwa kama yeye. Walifanana sana na ile familia niliyokutana nayo mwanzo nikiwa chuoni, ambako mbegu ya kwanza ilipandwa moyoni mwangu.

Ilikuwa ni pale ndipo niliposhindwa kuzuia shauku yangu ya kutaka kujua, na nikaanza kumuuliza kwa nini alikuwa tofauti hivyo na watu wengine? Akaanza kunielezea ushuhuda wake na akanieleza kuwa yeye ni Mkristo aliyeokoka (kitu ambacho sikukielewa kwa wakati ule). Aliniambia kwamba, kwa sababu alimpokea Kristo kama Bwana na Mwokozi wake binafsi, ndiyo maana yuko namna hiyo bila kutumia nguvu au juhudi zozote kwa upande wake; kwamba alikuwa ni Roho wa Bwana aliye ndani yake ndiye aliyesababisha matunda niliyokuwa nayashuhudia kwake.  Pamoja na kwamba, kama ilivyokuwa kwa ile familia ya kwanza, hakunihubiria Injili moja kwa moja, ilikuwa ni dhahiri kwamba Yesu alikuwa ndiye chanzo cha amani na upendo ndani yake.

Kwa mara nyingine, nilimpenda Kristo ambaye ana nguvu kubwa kiasi hicho cha kubadili maisha ya watu hawa; nguvu kubwa kuliko hata ya mtume wangu ambaye nilimheshimu kama muhuri wa mitume wote na kipenzi zaidi cha Mungu. Lakini licha ya uaminifu wangu mkubwa, sikuwahi kuwa na amani kama watu hawa. Kusema kweli nilijisikia fedheha. Walikuwa ni kama kioo kilichoweka wazi ubovu wa maisha yangu ya ndani.  

Kuanzia hapo na kuendelea, Bwana ameniruhusu kupita kwenye majaribu na hali mbalimbali katika maisha yangu, ambazo zilinifanya nitake kujua zaidi kuhusu Yeye, Mungu wa kweli – maana nilianza kubaini waziwazi kwamba Mungu wangu alikuwa hayupo popote.

Ndipo mapema kwenye miaka ya 2000, niliamua kwenda kwenye Kanisa la Kikristo (kinyume kabisa na yale niliyofundishwa na imani yangu ya Kiislamu, maana Mwislamu hawezi kamwe kwenda kwenye Kanisa kwa kuwa ni dhambi kubwa ambayo inaweza kunipotezea wokovu wangu). Kwa muda wa miezi 6 na kupitia kusoma Injili ya Yohana Kanisani kila Jumapili, nilijifunza Kristo ni nani hasa. Na polepole, Uungu wake ulianza kufunuka mbele za macho yangu, na ujumbe wa wokovu ukawa wazi kwangu; na nikajiona jinsi ambavyo sina uwezo na jinsi ambavyo ninauhitaji sana wokovu. 

Mwishowe, bila hata ya mashaka yoyote, nilimpokea Kristo na Ukristo. Nikawa Mkristo niliyeokoka ambaye yuko tayari kufanya lolote kwa ajili ya kumtumikia Bwana na Mwokozi Yesu Kristo.

Miezi michache tu baada ya kumpokea Kristo, nikaja kujua maana ya kuwa na uhusiano binafsi na Bwana wangu mpendwa; na kumtegemea Yeye kikamilifu na kupokea uzima wake ndani yangu. Na katika kipindi hiki, alifunua utukufu wake wa ajabu kwangu kwa njia za ajabu kiasi kwamba siwezi kabisa kukana au kutilia shaka utukufu wake na kazi yake kwenye maisha yangu.

Tangu hapo, maisha yangu yamebadilika kabisa, na siko kama nilivyokuwa kabla. Hivi sasa mimi si tena mtu mwenye kiburi, si tena mtu ninayejihesabia haki. Nilipewa moyo laini, na nikawa kweli kiumbe kipya ambacho hata kila anayeniona anatambua hilo; kama ambavyo Biblia inasema juu ya wale wanaokuja kwa Bwana na kumkubali kuwa Mungu wao wa kweli:

Nami nitawapa moyo mmoja, nami nitatia roho mpya ndani yao; nami nitauondoa moyo wa kijiwe katika miili yao, nami nitawapa moyo wa nyama;  ili waende katika amri zangu, na kuyashika maagizo yangu, na kuyatenda; nao watakuwa watu wangu, nami nitakuwa Mungu wao. (Ezekieli 11:19-20).

Inashangaza jinsi ambavyo kila kitu kilichosemwa kwenye mstari huo zaidi ya miaka 2500 iliyopita kilinitokea mimi na kinamtokea kila mtu anayemfuata Bwana. Kama ambavyo nilitambua kuwa waamini wote wa Bwana wana moyo MMOJA na Roho MOJA hivyo kuwafanya wawe tofauti na watu wengine, na wote wanafanana katika ukweli kwamba Bwana amebadili mioyo yao kutoka kuwa migumu kama jiwe na kuwa laini na yenye upole. Huo pekee ulikuwa ni ushuhuda mkubwa kwangu, kwamba kile kinachonitokea, hata kama si jambo kubwa kama baadhi watakavyosema, ni badiliko la KWELI na HALISI.  

Mbali na hivyo, tafadhali kumbuka kile nilichotaja wakati wa ushuhuda wangu kwamba, ujumbe wa Injili haukuwahi kuhubiriwa kwangu wakati wote wa kumtafuta Kristo; au kuusikia kikamilifu hadi pale nilipompokea. Hivyo ndivyo nilivyompenda Kristo. Kubadilika kwa maisha yangu kulitokea kwa sababu ya matendo rahisi tu ya UPENDO yaliyoonyeshwa kwangu na familia mbili ambazo zilikuwa nuru ya kweli ing’aayo, kama ambavyo wameamuriwa na Bwana wetu katika Mathayo 5:14-16:

Ninyi ni nuru ya ulimwengu …  nuru yenu na iangaze mbele ya watu, wapate kuyaona matendo yenu mema, wamtukuze Baba yenu aliye mbinguni.

Kupitia matendo haya ya kawaida kabisa ya upendo, niliweza kumjua mpendwa wangu Yesu Kristo; na kupitia upendo wao, Baba yetu wa mbinguni alitukuzwa, na ataendelea kutukuzwa. Mara nyingi huwa hatutilii maanani urahisi wa ujumbe wa Injili, kwamba upendo ndiyo amri kuu tuliyopewa na Kristo. Tunasau kwamba ujumbe ni KRISTO na si UKRISTO; kwamba sisi ni ujumbe na vyombo vyenye wajibu wa kumuwakilisha kwa wengine wanaotuzunguka; na jinsi uwakilishi huu unavyoweza kuleta mabadiliko makubwa katika maisha ya wale wanaotutazama, kama ilivyokuwa kwangu nilipokuwa nikiwatazama wale.

Tangu nilipomwamini Kristo, mimi si kipofu tena bali naiona kweli yote. Niliweza kuutambua uongo ambao niliuishi maisha yangu yote kama Mwislamu; uongo ambao Uislamu unafundisha; uongo ambao ndugu zangu Waislamu niwapendao bado wanauishi na kuuamini, kama nilivyokuwa mimi.

Uongo huu ni pamoja na madai kwamba: Muhammad ni nabii aliyetajwa kwenye Biblia, jambo ambalo nimelithibitisha kwamba hajatajwa popote kamwe. Uongo kwamba Qur’an ina miujiza ya kisayansi, jambo ambalo nalo nimelithibitisha kwamba ni udanganyifu. Hakuna hata kimoja kati ya yale yanayodaiwa kuwa ni miujiza kilicho karibu na sayansi. Uongo kwamba Biblia imepotoshwa, ilhali mimi nimethibitisha kwamba Qur’an haijawahi kuituhumu Biblia kama KITABU kuwa kimepotoshwa. Kiukweli, Qur’an inaitaka Biblia na watu wa Kitabu wathibitishe kwamba Qur’an inatoka kwa Mungu. Inawezekanaje Qur’an iwatake Waislamu  waikague Biblia na kuiamini iwapo imepotoshwa? Na kwa vile Biblia haijapotoshwa, basi kile ambacho Biblia inafundisha ni cha kweli. Na Biblia inafundisha kwamba Yesu ni Mungu aliyekuja duniani kunikomboa mimi kutoka kwenye utumwa wa dhambi na shetani; kufa msalabani kwa ajili ya dhambi zangu (badala yangu), na kunipa uzima wa milele na uhakika wa kusamehewa dhambi zangu ZOTE. Yesu alisema: 

Kwa maana jinsi hii Mungu aliupenda ulimwengu, hata akamtoa Mwanawe pekee, ili kila mtu amwaminiye asipotee, bali awe na uzima wa milele. (Yohana 3:16).

AMINA.
Rafiki yangu, kama bado haujafanya uamuzi maishani mwako wa kumjua Kristo na kumpokea kama Bwana na Mwokozi wako; kama Mungu wa kweli aliye hai, basi ninaomba ufanye hivyo leo. Mara utakapofanya hivyo, utaingia kwenye safari itakayobadili kabisa mwelekeo wa maisha yako; lakini njia pekee ya kupokea hilo ni kumpokea Yesu Kristo sasa; maana maisha ni mafupi mno na hatuna mamlaka na udhibiti juu ya kile kinachoweza kutokea katika sekunde ijayo.

    nimesoma kwa ufupi kisa chako kuwacha Uislamu.
    kwa kweli dini ya islam haimlazimishi mtu(unajua hivyo)
    Lakini nahisi kana kwamba HUJAIFAHAMU HASA hii neno ISLAM
    na wala sikulaumu kwani Maneno yafuatiya vitendo ....na yakini vitendo ndio kama tunavyoona sooote waislamu na ndugu wa Imani wakristo.

    1. Salim asante kwa kutembelea blog hii na ninaamini unayo mengi ya kunifunza mimi pamoja na wasomaji wa blog yangu. Blog hii ina shuhuda za watu mbalimbali, wengi wakiwa ni wale ambao walikuwa waislamu na sasa wanamfuata Kristo. Mimi naitwa James lakini Mutee’a Al-Fadi ni mhusika wa ushuhuda huu.

      Lakini ningependa nisikubaliane na wewe unaposema kuwa "dini ya islamu haimlazimishi mtu" labda kama utanifafanulia maana ya aya zifuatazo, Salim.

They swear by Allah that they did not say the thing, when in fact, they did utter the word of unbelief. *83 Thus, they were guilty of unbelief after they had professed Islam: however, they could not accomplish what they had intended to do. *84 They had no reason to be spiteful except that Allah and His Messenger had enriched them by His bounty. *85 If even now they repent of their misbehaviour, it will be good for their own selves, but if they do not repent, Allah will chastise them with a painful chastisement in this world and in the Hereafter, and there will be none on the earth to protect and help them.

    This Command enunciated the change of policy towards the hypocrites. Up to this time, leniency was being shown to them for two reasons. First, the Muslims had not as yet become so powerful as to take the risk of an internal conflict in addition to the one with the external enemies. The other reason was to give trough respite to those people who were involved in doubts and suspicions so that they could get sufficient time for attaining to faith and belief. But now the time had come far a change of policy. The whole of Arabia had been subdued and a bitter conflict with the external enemies was about to start; therefore it was required that these internal enemies should be crushed down so that they should not be able to conspire with the external enemies to stir up any internal danger to the Muslims. And now it had become possible to crush them. As regards !he second reason, these hypocrites had been given respite for a period of nine years to observe, to consider and test the Right Way, and they could have availed of it, if they had any good in them. So there was no reason why any more leniency should be shown to them. Therefore, Allah enjoined the Muslims to treat the hypocrites on one and the same level with the disbelievers and start Jihad against them, and to give up the policy of leniency Grey had adopted towards them and adopt a fine and stern policy instead.

      Pili, naona kama unazidi kuonyesha jinsi ambavyo Quran iliandikwa tu kwa ajili ya kurespond kwenye masuala ya kibinadamu yahusuyo siasa, utawala na mengine ya hapa duniani, na si masuala ya kiroho yahusuyo uzima wa milele.

      Ndiyo maana unaongelea juu ya maadui wa kibinadamu. Ndugu yangu, nashukuru kwa kuwa unazidi kuimarisha imani yangu juu ya Neno la Mungu kwenye Biblia. Itakuwa ni vema utambue kwamba adui wa mwanadamu si mwanadamu. Wanafiki, waongo, wezi, nk. hao wapo tu hadi mwisho wa dunia hii. Duniani siyo mbinguni ambako hakuna dhambi. Duniani kumejaa dhambi za kila aina. Wewe unaweza kuwa si mnafiki kama hao unaowapiga vita, lakini na wewe LAZIMA utakuwa na dhambi yako. Sote tu wenye dhambi maadamu tu wanadamu. Sasa, kama tukianza kuwasaka wenye dhambi na kuwamaliza, LOGICALL na CONCLUSIVELY, utamaliza wanadamu wote, ikiwa ni pamoja na wewe mwenyewe - maana ni nani asiye na dhambi?

      Lakini njia sahihi ni ipi basi? Biblia inasema kwamba: Kwa maana kushindana kwetu sisi si juu ya damu na nyama; bali ni juu ya falme na mamlaka, juu ya wakuu wa giza hili, juu ya majeshi ya pepo wabaya katika ulimwengu wa roho.(Waefeso 6:12). Hatutakiwi kushindana na damu na nyama, yaani na wanadamu wenzetu. Adui wa mwanadamu si mwanadamu; bali ni shetani, majini, mapepo na viumbe vyote vya kuzimu. Lakini ninyi ndugu zangu mmemwacha shetani anafanya kila atakacho (na hata mnasema kuwa majini ni ndugu zenu), na badala yake mmewafanya wanadamu wenzenu kuwa ndio maadui. Hebu tafakari zaidi ya hapo, Salim.

  3. n this connection, it should also be noted that this verse does not enjoin the Muslims to fight with the hypocrites. It merely meant to end the policy of leniency that had hitherto been adopted towards them. This verse enjoined that they were no more to be considered a part and parcel of the Muslim community nor were they to be allowed to take part in the management of its affairs nor consulted about any matter, so that they might not be able to spread the poison of hypocrisy. This changed policy required that the true Believers should expose all those, who adopted a hypocritical attitude and conduct and showed in any way that they were not sincere allies to Allah, His Messenger and the true Muslims. Each and every one of such hypocrites should be openly criticized and reproved so that there should remain for them no more place of honor and trust in the Muslim society: they should be socially boycotted and kept away from the consultations of the Community: their evidence in the courts of law should be regarded as untrustworthy: the doors of offices and positrons of trust should be closed against them and they should be held in contempt in the social meetings. In short; every Muslim should show by his behavior to such a one that there was no place of honor or respect or trust for a hypocrite in the Muslim society. Besides this, if any one of them was found to be guilty of treachery, there should be no connivance at his crime, nor should he be pardoned but openly tried in a court of law and should be duly punished.

    This Command was urgently needed at the time it came. It was obvious that in order to save the Muslim Community from fall and degradation, it was essential to purge it of all the internal dangers to its solidarity, because a Community, which nourishes hypocrites and traitors and allows the internal enemies to flourish with honor and security, wall inevitably be doomed to moral degradation and ultimate destruction. Hypocrisy is a plague and a hypocrite is the rat that carries and spreads its germs. Therefore to allow him the freedom of movement in the society is to expose the whole population to the danger of hypocrisy. Likewise, to give a place of honor and prestige to a hypocrite is to encourage many others in hypocrisy and treachery, for this shows that it is not sincerity, true faith and its welfare that count in it. One may flourish and prosper in it even if one verbally professes ;o be a Muslim and at the same time indulges in dishonesty and treachery. The Holy Prophet has expressed the same thing in a pithy saying. He said, "Whoso honors and respects the inventor of new practices which are un-Islamic, indeed helps to demolish the very structure of Islam."

  4. was which they had uttered. There are, however, traditions that mention several things of unbelief which were uttered by the hypocrites during that time. For instance, it is related that a hypocrite, while he was talking to a young Muslim, a near relative of his, said, "If all that this man (referring to the Holy Prophet) is saying be true, then we are worse than donkeys." Another tradition relates that when, during the expedition to Tabuk, one of the she-camels of the Holy Prophet went astray and the Muslims were moving about in search of it, a party of the hypocrites made a good deal of fun of this, saying to one another, "(Just consider the Prophethood of this man! ) He tells news of heavens but cannot tell where his she-camel is!'

    84This is a reference to the plots which the hypocrites had made during the Tabuk expedition. On the return journey they conspired to pus!' the Holy Prophet down into some ravine, while he would be passing over some hill at night. The Holy Prophet got wind of the plot and ordered that the army should take the longer route through the valley round the hills, while he himself along with 'Ammar-bin-Yasir and Huzaifah-bin-Yaman would make the short-cut over the hi" . While they were on the way, suddenly they discovered that a dozen of the hypocrites, with covered faces, were following them. At this Hadrat Huzaifah tented towards them so that he may drive away their camels but they were terrified when they saw him coming towards them and took to flight lest they should be recognized.

    The other plot was to declare `Abdullah bin Ubayy as king at Al-Madinah as soon as they should hear some 'bad news' about the Muslim army, because according to their expectations, the Holy Prophet and his faithful Companions could never fare well against tire armies of the Great Roman Empire.

Ndiyo maana si muhimu sana kwenu yale masuala yanayohatarisha uzima wa mtu wa milele, bali ni yale yanayohatarisha Uislamu kama dini. Dini inapewa umuhimu wa kwanza kuliko hata Mungu mwenyewe.

      Mtu akiwa mnafiki au akiwa na dhambi nyingine yoyote, hatari kubwa haitakiwi kuangaliwa kuhusiana na dini bali kuhusiana na yeye kuangamia kwenye jehanamu ya moto. Kwa hiyo, suluhisho si kuwa stern na yeye bali ni kumpeleka kwa Yule aliyeumba moyo wake maana huyo ana suluhisho la tatizo la dhambi kwa mwanadamu.

      Hivi ndivyo asemavyo Mungu Muumba wa mioyo yetu: Moyo huwa mdanganyifu kuliko vitu vyote, una ugonjwa wa kufisha; nani awezaye kuujua? (Yeremia 17:9). Je, hivyo si ndivyo ilivyo? Na jibu la moyo huu ni nini basi? Mungu huyu anasema: Basi, nitawahukumu ninyi, nyumba ya Israeli, kila mmoja kwa kadiri ya njia zake, asema Bwana MUNGU. Rudini, mkaghairi, na kuyaacha makosa yenu yote; basi hivyo uovu wenu hautakuwa uharibifu wenu. Tupilieni mbali nanyi makosa yenu yote mliyoyakosa; jifanyieni moyo mpya na roho mpya; mbona mnataka kufa, enyi nyumba ya Israeli? Maana mimi sikufurahii kufa kwake afaye, asema Bwana MUNGU; basi ghairini, mkaishi. (Ezekieli 18:30-32).

      Pia Mungu wetu anasema: Nami nitawanyunyizia maji safi, nanyi mtakuwa safi; nitawatakaseni na uchafu wenu wote, na vinyago vyenu vyote. Nami nitawapa ninyi moyo mpya, nami nitatia roho mpya ndani yenu, nami nitatoa moyo wa jiwe uliomo ndani ya mwili wenu, nami nitawapa moyo wa nyama. Nami nitatia roho yangu ndani yenu, na kuwaendesha katika sheria zangu, nanyi mtazishika hukumu zangu, na kuzitenda. (Ezekieli 36:25-27).

      Mungu wetu hapendi dhambi ila anawapenda wenye dhambi. Anachotaka tu ni wao watubu, kisha Yeye anawapa mioyo mipya. Lakini njia ya Mungu wenu ya kuwarekebisha wanadamu wenye dhambi ni kwa mwanadamu mwingine (ambaye naye ana dhambi) kuwa mkali au hata kuwaua. Lakini kama nilivyosema hapo juu, hili wala si suluhisho la dhambi, bali nikinukuu maneno yako: “This Command was urgently needed at the time it came. It was obvious that in order to save the Muslim Community from fall and degradation.” You see, he is not even interested in the spiritual well being of the person but with Islam as a religion.

      I need a God who values and loves me as a person and NOT a God who uses me as an instrument for propagating some kind of religion. Religion is a dead entity that will not last forever, but a human being will last forever along with God.

  5. Rafiki yangu Salim, leo katika nchi za Kiislamu watu wanauawa kila uchao kwa sababu wameritadi. Katika comment yako ya mwanzo kabisa ulisema Uislamu hauna shida na mtu anayebadili dini bali haya yanatokana tu na watu kutoelewa Uislamu na kutafsiri vibaya Quran.

    Honestly, hiyo ingekuwa ni kweli kama hizi zingekuwa ni cases chache tu, labda moja au mbili kwa mwaka kwenye nchi nzima. But, is that the case? No? Kwa nini basi nchi za Kiislamu zinapiga marufuku Injili ya Yesu kuhubiriwa humo? Kwa nini hairuhusiwi kujenga makanisa Saudi Arabia? Kwa nini ni marufuku kujenga makanisa Misri au kukarabati makanisa ya zamani yanayobomoka?

    Kama basi mamilioni kwa mamilioni ya wasomi wa Kiislamu katika nchi hizi zote hawaelewi Uislamu, basi CERTAINLY there is a problem, NOT WITH THE PEOPLE, but with the God of Islam and his book (Quran). By the way, Mungu ameleta ujumbe kwa wanadamu ambao yeye anasema kuwa utawafikisha mbinguni, yet anawaambia kuwa hawana uwezo wa kuelewa Quran na pia anazuia Quran kutafsiriwa kwa lugha za watu, bali wakariri tu hivyo hivyo (jambo ambalo wewe umeita ni kuhifadhi zi kukariri) - jambo ambalo mimi naona bora anayekariri kuliko anayehifadhi, maana kukariri ni active activity, lakini kuhifadhi ni inactive activity.
